About the Role

We are looking for an organised, creative, and enthusiastic individual to join our team in a unique combined role. This post brings together three key areas of our work: coordinating BSL and training courses, delivering high-quality British Sign Language teaching, and supporting our marketing and engagement activities.

What You’ll Be Doing

Training Course Coordination

  • Plan, schedule and coordinate a variety of BSL and training courses.
  • Manage learner bookings, enquiries, attendance and course materials.
  • Liaise with tutors, venues, and learners to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records and support quality assurance.

BSL Tuition

  • Deliver engaging BSL lessons to individuals, groups or organisations.
  • Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials and assessments.
  • Support learner progress and promote Deaf awareness.

Marketing & Communications

  • Support the creation of social media content, email campaigns and promotional materials.
  • Help update the website, course listings and announcements.
  • Contribute ideas for marketing campaigns and community engagement.
  • Represent the organisation at events and outreach activities.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

Essential

  • Proficient in BSL (minimum Level 3).
  • Experienced in teaching or tutoring BSL.
  • Highly organised with strong administrative and coordination skills.
  • Confident using digital tools (Microsoft Office, CRM systems, social media).
  • Creative, proactive and able to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Friendly, approachable and committed to supporting learners.

Desirable

  • BSL Level 6 or native BSL user.
  • Teaching qualification (AET Level 3 or equivalent).
  • Experience with marketing platforms and content creation (Canva, Mailchimp, etc.).
  • Experience working within the Deaf community or education/training sectors.
